Jun 3, 2011 · I watched Gunsmoke as a child with my father & family. I now am watching Gunsmoke everyday by myself. James Arness was a superb actor & a wonderful kind & loving person. He will always be loved and remembered by myself and many other fans of Marshall Dillon. Thanks for continuing to give me pleasure watching Gunsmoke. Rest in Peace Mr. Arness. Gunsmoke father - I have just finished listening to all of the Gunsmoke playlists, probably over 300 episodes. I work at home and I listen while working. I enjoyed every single one and Robert Conrad, Parley Baer, and Howard McNear were masterful in every episode.
